   WHO AM I

Welcome to my soul work, Birth Chapters. What started off as a blog “If I’d Have Known” written to share with family, friends and one day my children. Has evolved into supporting birthing people and their families. I am passionate to support, inform and hold space for all your birth preparation needs. I offer a kind and calming presence so you can focus on having the most relaxed and empowered birth experience possible.

I am a mother to 3 unique and beautiful children as well as our dog Daisy. I am a born and raised Winnipeger who married their high school sweetheart. I have gained much education beginning with MACFE to become a Birth Doula, a BA from the U of M majoring in Indigenous Studies. I then went on to become a certified Childbirth Educator through Douglas College. Most recently I completed my Doula Certification through Doula Canada in 2023.

Other ways I am involved in supporting birthing people and families is through my volunteer work. I volunteer through a peer support group Milk Mentors, who support breast and chest feeding people. I co-facilitate a Baby & Me group once a month called Community Connect in St.James for parents with babies under 1 year.

Outside of all my school & volunteer adventures. I enjoy dancing like nobody's watching and singing like everyone’s ears are blocked.  I find joy in nature and peace in stillness and simplicity. Yoga and meditation bring balance and self awareness to my never ending list of to do’s.

Motherhood has helped me to shed all the layers that did not serve me. It uncovered a deeper understanding of who I am and what I value most. Birth work and supporting birthing people and families is a piece of my soul. I look forward to educating and empowering through my private Childbirth Education classes right in the comfort of your own home and sharing continuous Birth Doula support. There is no such thing as too much love and support.
